What is an Online Buyer's Agent?
An Online Buyer's Agent is a licensed real estate brokerage service dedicated to serving the self-directed home buyer who finds a home on their own, but still requires the services of a real estate agent to complete the transaction.
Do many people find their new home without the assistance of an agent? How?
According to the 2007 National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Homebuyers and Sellers, the majority of homebuyers in 2007 were able to locate their own home without the assistance of a real estate agent.
These self-directed home buyers often searched on the internet, saw a yard sign or newspaper advertisement, or heard about the home from a friend, neighbor or relative. The vast majority of these individuals then turned to a buyer's agent to complete the transaction. If you turn to Zoom Real Estate as your buyer's agent, we'll pay you 75% of our commission for the work that you did in finding your home.
Example-If you buy a $300,000 home and the commission is 6% or $18,000.
Assuming the commission is split evenly, the seller's agent would receive $9,000 and the buyer's agent would receive $9,000.
Since you searched for your own home, Zoom would give you 75% of the commission, or $6,750!
*note-the minimum commission Zoom retains is $2000, regardless of sale price or commission split.
Important things to remember
Be sure to mention Zoom as your Realtor when inquiring about any property, whether it be new construction , for sale by owner, or calling a Realtor. Failure to identify Zoom as your Realtor may result in loss of commission and rebate.
